Since 1 January 2026, ACRE is only granted on application, within 60 days of the start of activity. After that, the relief is lost for good.

ACRE is no longer granted automatically to micro-entrepreneurs: you must apply to the URSSAF, with a form and documents, within 60 days of the start of activity declared on the single window. The period runs from that date, not from the arrival of your affiliation certificate, which can take weeks. After that, the relief is lost.
For an activity started since 1 July 2026, the rate paid is 75% of the normal rate: the relief is 25%. The texts speak of a « 75% reduction », and many sites copy the phrase the wrong way round. CSG-CRDS, the training levy and supplementary pension remain due.
The relief runs until the end of the third calendar quarter following the start of activity. Starting on 1 July gives twelve months, starting on 30 September gives nine. And the period is used up even with no turnover: applying before having a real activity wastes it, and you must wait three years to qualify again.
Eleven situations open the relief, and they do not add up: you tick a single one, and each requires its own document, written opposite on the form. You see it under each situation when you choose, and the summary reminds you of it before download. Among those eleven:

Since 1 January 2026, every self-employed worker applies for ACRE; the rate change for micro-entrepreneurs dates from 1 July 2026. They are two separate reforms, and people often mix them up.
He declares his activity on the single window on 3 June and waits for his affiliation certificate to « do things in order ».
The certificate arrives on 20 July. He fills in his application on 10 August, 68 days after the declared start.
The URSSAF refuses: the deadline was 2 August. He will pay the full rate for his first year, about €1,200 more on €20,000 of service turnover.
The form would have taken him five minutes on 4 June. Nothing required him to wait for the certificate.
Send the form and the two documents from the messaging of your autoentrepreneur.urssaf.fr account, without waiting for the affiliation certificate.
Keep the messaging receipt. It dates your submission if the deadline is disputed.

A late application is refused. Do not exhaust yourself in appeals, the deadline is in the text.
Your contributions are computed at the full rate, which changes nothing to your pension rights.
The relief becomes possible again for a new business, three years after a previous one ended.
No, and it is the most expensive mistake. The 60-day period runs from the start date declared on the single window. The affiliation certificate arrives four to ten weeks later, sometimes after the deadline. Send the application as soon as your declaration is finalised, with the proof of creation the single window gives you.
It has one month from receipt of the application. With no reply after that, ACRE is deemed granted, and the certificate appears under « Mes attestations » in your online account. Keep the receipt of your messaging submission: it starts that month.
It is the key to your file at the URSSAF. The tool checks it before writing it, check digits included, because a wrong number gets the application rejected, often after the deadline has passed. Nobody receives it, not even us: it is used to fill in the form on your device, then disappears with the tab.
No. One is enough, and the form asks for the supporting document of the one you tick. Choose the one you can prove most simply: an identity document for someone aged 18 to 25, a notice of entitlement for a jobseeker receiving benefits.
